We loved every part of our mission trip to Bahamas with Loren and Jessica. We cannot wait to go back and serve with them!
The most amazing part was the awesome worship on the beach in the evenings. We worked and worshiped with the Bahamian people. We felt God’s presence all throughout our trip.
It was such a fantastic trip from beginning to end. We were always informed of everything we needed to have taken care of (passports, flights, etc.). It was my first time taking a group internationally and they made it so easy!
Grand Bahama was devastated by Hurricane Dorian in 2019, and recovery efforts have been limited by the financial impacts of Covid and the travel limitations in the early stages of the pandemic. Playgrounds, parks and schools are in need of rebuilding. Food shortages have highlighted the lack of agriculture on the island. Homes, especially in the Eight Mile Rock area, are still are not livable, though people live in them. The children of the community love Vacation Bible Schools, sports camps, art camps. The possibilities for your mission team are endless, and your mission experience will be tailored to the desires and skills of your team.

God is calling us to do something big! Rev. Loren Boyce first set foot on the islands of The Bahamas in 2005 while leading a mission team in his role as Associate Director of Mission and Ministry for the Mountain Sky Conference of the UMC, and fell in love with the people and the missional experiences there. After leading more than 20 trips to Freeport and Nassau, a time of discernment during Covid led him to move his family to Freeport to engage in full time mission work. His first career was in agriculture, a vital skill set as we seek to increase sustainable agriculture on the island. He is passionate about facilitating mission trips that are meaningful for the church groups and beneficial for the community.
Worship arts, missions and pastoral care are at the heart of Rev. Jessica Boyce's ministry. An elder in the Mountain Sky Conference of the UMC, her ministry has focused on missional churches and empowering people to embrace their God given blessings to live a life of creativity and abundance. Rev. Jessica is the pastor of a local church in Freeport, Grand Bahama. With the trauma from Hurricane Dorian still a daily reality, her ministry focuses on healing from the past experiences and preparing for the storms of the future so we will be better equipped to survive them and recover quicker and easier.
